Children - C family

This was a very quick (5 minutes?) shot with some extended family.  We love them!  Their kids are SO patient and easy to pose/shoot.  Very easy little session and all photos SOOC (straight out of camera = no editing).

I did a little experiment with twinkle lights in the background - they were fun to play with!  To get the twinkly bokeh, I used my manual-only lens, so a couple of these aren't focused as sharp as I'd like them to be.  Overall I love these, though!  They capture these kiddos' personalities.

Children - M

These kiddos were super fun (and photogenic, holy cow!).  The photos are a birthday present for their dad!
I am pretty happy with these, though there are a couple of positioning changes I'd make (like not plaid on plaid in the top photo).  And it was a little breezy, but I love the crazy hair anyway.

Senior - J

If only all sessions were as easy as this one!  Her smile is gorgeous and I think her eyes are only closed in like one shot.  Of the ... 150?  that I took.  Incredible.

Sleeping Beauty

Feb - 2012
Another poster shoot for the annual ballet. This year they are performing Sleeping Beauty.

Carabosse (evil fairy) has her hands in the ballet sign for 'dead' below.

We had a hard time deciding which should be the poster, it ended up being a tie between the first and second shots. I designed and am printing posters out of both.

It was fun to try fun stuff, and anyone who works as hard as the lead in a ballet deserves a little photo shoot!

You should come to the performance, these ballets are small, but very well done and fun. My daughter and I have been going since she was 3. We've seen Sleeping Beauty 6 times, and this will be her first time performing in it!

Wedding - K+A

This was my first wedding, and luckily I didn't have to shoot it alone (how do people do that?). My friend, Lindsay, came with me and turned what could have been really nerve-wracking into a really fun outing.

It was pretty cool being a part of this family's special day. And I love that the bride's mom made ALL the dresses (including her own), AND the cake, and an aunt did all the flowers. I love when it's a family/DIY affair!

It was fun to see a couple of her bridals blown up and displayed at the reception, too.

Their engagement session is here, and her bridals are posted here.
You can see what Lindsay shot at the temple here (thanks, Lindsay!).

Bridals - A

This was a bridal shoot for a sweet neighbor.

Her mom made her dress and veil - including plenty of hand-beading!

Family - F

This shoot was a challenge for me! Well, not the shoot, but the editing afterwards. We really pushed it with the weather and with the clouds it was DARK.

They were so cute and color-coordinated and brought their own props. ;)

This one is fun.

It was fun this year to get Christmas cards with photos I'd taken!
