Wedding - K+A

This was my first wedding, and luckily I didn't have to shoot it alone (how do people do that?). My friend, Lindsay, came with me and turned what could have been really nerve-wracking into a really fun outing.

It was pretty cool being a part of this family's special day. And I love that the bride's mom made ALL the dresses (including her own), AND the cake, and an aunt did all the flowers. I love when it's a family/DIY affair!

It was fun to see a couple of her bridals blown up and displayed at the reception, too.

Their engagement session is here, and her bridals are posted here.
You can see what Lindsay shot at the temple here (thanks, Lindsay!).

Bridals - A

This was a bridal shoot for a sweet neighbor.

Her mom made her dress and veil - including plenty of hand-beading!

This shoot was a challenge for me! Well, not the shoot, but the editing afterwards. We really pushed it with the weather and with the clouds it was DARK.

They were so cute and color-coordinated and brought their own props. ;)

This one is fun.

It was fun this year to get Christmas cards with photos I'd taken!

Fall 2011

Family - B

Another cute family in their backyard (Summer 2011).

The quick shots of the kiddos I did at the end ended up being my favorite of the whole sitting.

I think in the shot with the corn, I would have them take a step or two forward, otherwise, I'm pretty happy with these.

Family - J

Another family shoot - in their own backyard (Summer 2011).

Self-critiques here would be: watch the exposure (whites) and find a better pose for the four kids together.

Engagements - K+A

This is the first set of engagement photos I've done - here are my faves from the shoot (Fall 2011).

I was a little worried about directing them how to pose, luckily it was easier than I thought. They were great to work with!

Family - C

A quick photoshoot (it was COLD) for some of our awesome family. Love these guys!

Swan Lake Poster Shoot

Feb 2011 - I was asked to shoot and design the poster for a local ballet company's production of Swan Lake. This was my first shoot with my external flash, and I was pretty nervous about getting things right, since a re-shoot would be nearly impossible.

The above was the winner, and became this poster:
